Interests
I have been thinking recently about how to raise money for college. There's scholarships, school awards, and of course, jobs. With my current school schedule, I may be able to get a part-time job for the semester.

I was also considering donating eggs to infertile couples.

Depending on who I affiliate myself with, I can make a couple thousand dollars from a single egg donation 'session'.

I've read up on the process of egg donating, and basically, they take a lot of background information; anywhere from IQ and SAT scores to family medical history, to simple physical characteristics and personality traits. Then, when someone chooses your eggs, they give you hormone pills (or shots) until your menstrual cycle lines up with the recipient. Then, you are given a hormone which induces multiple egg production. These eggs are then extracted with a needle. You go through a couple weeks of post-donation therapy just to make sure there aren't any complications from the hormone treatment and then someone else has a child, and you have a little extra cash in your pocket.

Pros: Get a large amount of money easily, help a couple have a child, do something humanitarian.

Cons: Possible elevated risk of cancer, wondering about the child I donated later in life, being blamed for a complicated pregnancy or unexpected birth defect, possibility of death due to careless practitioners.

And then there are the pros and cons of myself as a donation candidate:

Pros: Creative, multi-talented, strong immune system, no allergies/ birth defects, small build but not scrawny, intelligent, pretty, thick hair, will look young longer ( The older people in my family never look their age. People think my grandma is 40 but she's close to 60 by now. And those of you that know my mom...just look at her!), possible recessive gene for green eyes (my dad's eyes are green).

Cons: Impaired vision (astigmatism!), acne, copious amounts of body hair (I even have fuzz on my face and a rather impressive chick-stache if left ungroomed), may have recessive gene that causes snaggletooth (my teeth are straight but my sister's getting there), laziness (and possible other unwanted personality traits...thank you, Dad), small breasts, easily prone to heat exhaustion.

So, what do you guys think? Am I in it for the wrong reasons? Should I allow such a drastic hormone therapy procedure to be done on my body? Would I make a good candidate for egg donation?
